Helping to encourage charitable donations: Oban Mountain Rescue Team

Last year, as part of some voluntary work I've been doing for Scottish Mountain Rescue, I created a set of postcards and labels for Oban Mountain Rescue Team that they can use as part of their charitable fund-raising activities. The images were taken during training sessions I attended with the Oban team last year plus one from the Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland's annual conference.

Oban Mountain Rescue Team are one of a number of volunteer Mountain Rescue Teams in Scotland. All the teams offer a world class, front line, voluntary search and rescue service that is available any hour, any day and any weather, 365 days a year (often in hostile weather).

You can donate to Oban Mountain Rescue Team on their website. Or find out more about Scottish Mountain Rescue at http://www.mountainrescuescotland.org.

Mountain spirit: Supporting Scottish Mountain Rescue's new national campaign

Last year, you may recall I was doing some voluntary work for Oban Mountain Rescue Team and the Mountain Rescue Committee of Scotland.

I'm pleased to say that I've been able to donate some images from my project, which you can see below, to Scottish Mountain Rescue for a 3 year 'Mountain Spirit' campaign they have in partnership with Ian Macleod Distillers where over £10,000 plus 15p from the sale of Isle of Skye 8 Year Old Blended Whisky bottles will be donated to mountain rescue so they can purchase new specialised equipment, support SARDA rescue dogs and continue to provide avalanche rescue training for mountain rescue team members.

Scottish mountain rescue services provide a world-class, front-line, voluntary search and rescue service that is available any hour, any day and any weather. You can find out more about them at http://www.mountainrescuescotland.org.
