The picture below was posted on Let's be Wild's website. It was taken at dusk from the summit of the Munro, Luinne Bheinn, during a glorious week's backpacking in Knoydart penninsula and shows the jagged ridge of the Isle of Skye's Cuillin mountains on the horizon.
The day itself was a day of sunshine. We ascended a Corbett before breakfast - with great views from the Mam Suidheig - then followed the Aonach Sgoilte (split ridge) round to reach the summit of the Munro, Ladhar Bheinn. From there, we re-traced our steps, took time out to look down Loch Hourn, and finished our day walking up Luinne Bheinn and camping wild on the other side of the mountain at a high bealach.
The best thing about it? We still had two more days of backpacking to come.
